Phil Minister of Encouragment
Like most people; I have started off as a young babe. I grew up in a poor home by Australian standards. I come to know the Lord Jesus Christ as my own personal Savior at the age of ten years. I rededicated my life again at the age of thirteen. As a child, I found myself to be very nervous. I found myself going from one church to another. This was done by my parents not knowing; why!!! As I grew into a teenage I found myself with dreams of earning a lot of money. However, leaving school early did not help. I struggled to keep jobs to pay my way.
So, I realizing too late in life that money was not the answer to all of my problems. I entered myself into Bible College. I realized in a short time that I needed money to even do this course. Not being very educated I worked hard and went to college with a vision to serve God and to have a wife and family. Along with the doctrines of the Bible and theology; one of my favorite subjects was English and grammar. As I did not finish Bible College because of my lack of ability to learn Greek; I left. Being very disheartened; I continued to work to find money to own a house; and to get a family.
After trying so hard; I received a back injury. My dreams went down the tubes. I did not finish college. I could not work and still no wife or family. (Oh me; what is God doing?) The good thing is through the dilemma I met Kathryn. However, still no house. Hey, I thought to myself, “This is backwards.” Through, government assistance I went to Tafe College; I did a computer course; desktop publishing course, refreshed my typing skills (typing with all fingers) I did a marketing course; and a sales course.
Yet; no jobs turned up for me in the skills I had. I did all this when I decided to marry Kathryn. I was forty yrs old; Kath was twenty one. After two years married to Kathryn; we had two children; thirteen months apart. Wade is twelve; and Dane is eleven now. At this point, we still did not have a house but we decided to looking for something; even if the walls were falling down. (that nearly happened). We did not get as much for compensation as we hoped to get.
Yet; I soon found that God’s provision is so true. God gave us a house that is completely ours. We do not owe any bank or financial institution for any of it..Through much prayer; not long ago we had to leave a church. I then said to God. I am not going to let this stop me from sharing Christ. Although, I did somewhat realize; I had a gift of encouragement; I decided to do a gift test on the net. Yes; I did have the gift of encouragement. God provided Christian social network sites for me to encourage others.
God provided Godlinked. In the time, I was in Godlinked this is when I came across Angela Sanders; on “Kingskids”. I have been at many very low points in my life. My family has also been at some very low points that cannot be shared in this short biography.
No matter what your life has been; It is all designed by God. When we realize this concept; we will appreciate God’s intervention in our life, to become the people that God wants us to be.
So here I am at fifty five; encouraging others all over the world to trust what God is doing; as He has a purpose
